Summer is around the corner.  We are almost half way through 2024.  Gamers are rejoicing that 2024 has brought us exciting and fun video games to drive our imagination wild.  I was curious to see what new games are causing a lot of buzz on the Internet on the PC, Nintendo Switch,  PS5 and the XBox Series X.

Polygon wrote an interesting article titled "The best video games of 2024 so far" written by Chris Plante, Pete Volk and the Polygon staff.  The first game I found interesting in the article is Princess Peach: Showtime.  It is great to see that Princess Peach finally got her chance to have a video game dedicated to her only without Mario, Luigi and Bowser.  The game is geared towards kids.  It takes place in a place called "Sparkle Theatre" where Princess Peach is the main act of the show.

The special abilities that Princess Peach gains are characters such as Ninja Peach, Swordfighter Peach, Detective Peach and Mighty Peach fighting against a new villain called Grape, a cruel sorceress with her army to take over Sparkle Theatre.  The goal of the game is to rescue all of the Sparklas who are the stars of the theater plays.  The game is not extremely difficult.

The next hottest game in 2024 that caught my eye is Prince of Pershia: Lost Crown that was released on PS5, PS4, XBox Series X/S, XBox, PC, XBox One and the Nintendo Switch.  The game introduces a new character named Saragon who is the main protagionist.  He is a member of a warrior clan called the Immortals.  Saragon's mission is to rescue Prince Ghasan from Mount Qaf, which is cursed.

It is a game released by Ubisoft on January 18, 2024.   Prince of Pershia: Lost Crown is a single action adventure game where Saragon and the Immortals must enter Mount Qhaf, which was once a learning center to save Prince Ghasan from General Anahita who plans to "use Ghasan's royal blood to access the temple of Simurgh."   The twist in the game is that Sargaon and the Immortals are transported into an alternate timelines.  The game uses 2D computer graphics, which makes the graphics on the game look a lot better.  Saragon has to stop a traitor in the Immortal chain, which is the leader Varaham from murdering Prince Ghasan.
